WHO I AM & WHAT I DO.

I am a painter, a printmaker, an illustrator, a wanna be entomologist, a teacher, and an adventurer. My life outside of teaching can be summed up into three categories: making things, studying bugs, and being outside.

Creating is part of the self-care that I need. When I am practicing making things I am learning, problem solving, and processing the world around me.

Insects are a wonder to watch and a true indicator of the health of our planet. I have spent time recently studying bees and for part of my senior project I built a pollinator habitat at Garland Farm in Bar Harbor.

Being outside is necessary for me. Time spent canoeing, camping, hiking, biking, swimming, or wandering are my favorite ways to be outside.
